At our Burns Supper, we followed the traditional Supper model. The P5 class hosted the event, with a top table who were responsible for entertaining the rest of the school.
Oor Chairman introduced the various speakers. We started off with the haggis being piped into the hall, and when it reached the top table, the Address to the Haggis was given.
We then heard the Immortal Memory and after this, we were treated to a splendid recitation of a large part of Tam o Shanter. After the Toast to the (Dinner) Lassies, we heard the Reply to the Lassies, which was given by our dinner lady, Lynnette.
In between all this, we heard the individual class winners from our poem competitions and also watched some wonderful Scottish Country Dancing.
